ONGC Selection Process for Engineers
ONGC hires candidate based on GATE score which is conducted by different IIT every year. ONGC shortlist the candidate based on scores in GATE exam and below are the process and interview is conducted to access the candidate :
Stage 1: GATE Score (60% weightage) For this divide your GATE score by 1000 and multiply by 60. E.g., if your GATE score is 990 so 990/1000 = 0.99 * 60 = 59.4 So, your score out of 60 in GATE Score parameter is 59.4
Stage 2: Qualification (25% weightage)
Regardless of the percent marks you obtained in your degree exam, the degree you have completed or are now in final year of study is considered for evaluation. B.Tech is worth 20 points, B.Tech + M.Tech is worth 22 points, and B.Tech + Phd is worth 25 points. To be considered for the ONGC selection process, you must have a minimum of 60% in the required qualification, i.e. B.Tech.
Stage 3: Interview (15% Weightage)
ONGC AEE interviews are usually held in May or June and are worth 15 points. Your /15 for the interview will be added to your final score. However, there is a cutoff for the interviews, which is the minimum score required to be considered for final selection or employment.

HPCL Recruitment 2022 paper pattern
The Computer Based Test will be divided into two sections, each with objective questions and no negative marking. After a basic evaluation of their application, uploaded documents, and a category- and discipline-specific merit list in the Computer Based Test, eligible applicants will be asked for Group Task & Personal Interview.
The minimum qualifying marks in the Domain portion for all categories are 50%. In terms of overall marks (i.e. general aptitude + technical), 60 percent for UR/EWS and 54 percent for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC NC. Candidates must also complete a pre-employment medical examination that fulfils the Company’s standards for the position.
HPCL Selection Process 2022 :
